The school office is staffed from 08:30 until 16:00 each day. Our telephone system allows you to leave a message regarding your child’s absence or to leave an answer-phone message and if necessary our staff will get back to you as soon as possible.

For detailed information on our policies and procedures, please refer to our school prospectus and policy documents within this website.  Copies are sent to all new entrants to our school and further paper copies of any documents are available from the school office upon request.


Absences
We take the safeguarding of our children very seriously and it is important that we know their whereabouts throughout the school day.
If your child is unwell and not fit to attend school, please let us know by ringing or calling to the office, preferably by 9:10am.
Similarly, if your child is going to be late, please let us know as soon as possible.

Admissions to Foundation 2 – September each year
Admissions are co-ordinated by the Local Authority and application forms are available from the school office from mid October of the previous year. Places are allocated by letter at the beginning of March.


Lunches
The cost of a school lunch is £2.70 each day, payable in advance on termly basis. If you wish to change your child’s meal arrangements, please complete a request form which is available from reception. Please click on separate link to view menus. Children in F2 (Reception) and Key Stage 1 (Year 1 & Year 2) are entitled to a free meal each day.


Milk
Milk is available for all children in school and orders are placed with a company called Cool Milk. Please ask for further information from the office.


Free School Meals & Milk
Your child may be entitled to free meals and milk if you are in receipt of:
• Income Support, or
• Job Seekers Allowance (income based), or
• Employment Support Allowance (income related), or
• Pension Credit (guarantee credit), or
• Child Tax Credit with a total annual income of LESS than £16,190 per annum but applicant NOT receiving Working Tax Credit

Medicines in School
Under certain, exceptional circumstances it may be necessary for children to receive medication during the school day and staff are happy to do this :
• In cases of long term complaints or chronic illness e.g. asthma, diabetes etc
• Cases where children recovering from short term illness are well enough to return to school but are still receiving a course of antibiotics.
Medicine request forms are available from the school office.
Only prescription medicine will be dispensed by our staff and only with a completed request form.

Uniform
All items, including jackets and bags, are available from the school office. Order forms are kept in school and should be handed in to the office staff after completion. We also hold a small amount of items in stock so please do ask. It is also possible to purchase sweatshirts and cardigans from the school office direct from our supplier. PE kit can also be ordered through the office or suitable shorts and tops are available in supermarkets etc, though without our logo.
